Purpose |

The BFGuide is the
authoritative source of Business and Finance processes, procedures,
forms and reports used by University departments in carrying out their
functions related to the administration of overall financial matters. Each
area within Business and Finance is responsible for maintaining their
respective sections of the BFGuide. |

Guidelines for performing business and
financial functions. Designed to be used by Business and Finance employees
and the University community. |

Responsible Office |
The Responsible Office is
the office within Business and Finance responsible for issuing this
guideline. The name of the responsible office appears in the heading of
each guideline. |

Procedures |
|
BFGuide Structure |
Within the BFGuide are
guides to major services provided by the Division of Business and
Finance. A Table of Contents is provided at the beginning of each guide
within the BFGuide, listing the titles and references of all of the
subsections. |

Content of Guidelines |
Each guideline contains a statement of
purpose; definitions of terms used with the guideline; procedures providing step-by-step
instructions for performing a specific function; links to forms, reports, and
other Web sites; and contact links for questions about the
guideline. Links may be included to policies and procedures or other
guidelines as needed. |

Updates to BFGuide |
Each area within Business and Finance is
responsible for maintaining their respective sections of the BFGuide.
Additions and changes are published in the Update, Business Beat, email,
etc. Questions concerning specific guidelines should be addressed to
the Responsible Office. |
