

Edwina Thomas Washington, a licensed attorney with a specialization in Intellectual Property, was previously employed with Thomas, Kayden, Horstemeyer & Risley law firm of Atlanta, Georgia. She has also served as General Counsel for Excellatron Solid State, LLC; as an attorney with Kilpatrick Stockton, LLP; and is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Before earning her law degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law, she worked for AT&T for 14 years in a variety of management positions. In addition, Edwina holds an MBA from Emory University and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University. She has been recognized nationally as "One of the Most Promising Black Women in Corporate America" by Ebony and as one of the "Outstanding Business and Professional Women" by Dollars and Sense Magazine. Edwina joined the University of Memphis in July 2003.
