Fee Payment Deadlines

FEE PAYMENT POLICY: The deletion of courses for non-payment will occur prior to the first day of class for the semester. Carefully review the registration dates and corresponding fee payment/deletion deadlines below.

Pre-Summer 2015 FEE PAYMENT DEADLINES
Students who register ONLY for Pre-Summer (Maymester) OR Pre-Summer and any other Summer PART-OF-TERM (POT) course during the following dates: Fee payment deadline to avoid the assessment of $100 Late Payment Fee All registered courses will be deleted if not paid in full by the Fee Payment Deadline.

Examples:

If you register for a Pre-Summer course and a Full Term course, the Fee Payment Deadline for both courses is May 8. If you do not pay for both courses in full or do not have sufficient Financial Aid/Scholarships to pay for both courses, you will be deleted from both courses.

If you register for a Pre-Summer and Full Term course on May 9, you will be assessed a $100 Late Registration Fee. A $100 Late Payment Fee will be assessed if your courses are not paid by 4:30 p.m. on May 11. If fees have not been paid by 4:30 p.m. on May 12, you will be deleted from both courses. On May 13, you can reregister for the Full Term course and the Fee Payment Deadline will be May 29.

Summer 2015 FEE PAYMENT DEADLINES
Students who register for any Summer PART-OF-TERM (POT) course (Full, RODP, 1st,1st Teach, 2nd, 2nd Teach) during the following dates: Fee payment deadline to avoid the assessment of $100 Late Payment Fee All registered courses will be deleted if not paid in full by the Fee Payment Deadline.

  • All courses should must be paid by the Fee Payment Deadline in order to avoid deletion of courses. Students who decide not to attend or decide to drop a course(s) must drop that course(s) from their schedule. Fees for dropping courses may be adjusted based on the refund policy in effect on the date the course(s) were dropped.
  • The Installment Payment Plan is NOT available for summer.

NOTE: Students who receive permission to register after Late Registration from the Dean of their major must prepay all fees in full, including the assessment of a $100 Late Registration Fee and a $100 Late Payment Fee prior to being registered.

May 25

Deadline to sign up for eRefunds (direct deposit) on TigerXpress for processing excess financial aid/scholarship refunds as available for the initial direct deposit.
NOTE: Students who miss this deadline should still sign up in preparation for subsequent disbursements.

eRefunds - Direct Deposit refunds will begin to post to students' bank accounts

Checks will be sent to the Post Office for mailing

Priority Registration for Summer 2015 begins

Employment Certification for fee waiver and discount forms must be completed, signed and dated April 15 or later.

April 27

eBills available online on TigerXpress

Students will be notified by email (U of M email address) when eBills are available and by text messaging if signed up on TigerXpress to receive test messages.

May 1

GA Contracts due to Graduate School

May 4

First day State, UT and TBR employees, using PC191 fee waiver program may register for Summer courses.

First day students using the Disabled or Senior Citizen Reduced Tuition/Tuition Waiver may register for Summer courses.

NOTE: Students who register prior to this date will be denied the opportunity to use a space-available fee waiver program for this semester.

May 4

Deadline to submit Departmental Fee Waivers to Bursar's Office

July 6

2nd PART-OF-TERM  (POT) Fee Payment Deadline (4:30 p.m.) to avoid DELETION of courses for students who are ONLY registered for 2nd POT and who registered between June 4 – July 6, 2015.

Courses will be DELETED if not paid in full.

TigerXpress will be unavailable after 4:30 p.m.

July 7-8

2nd POT Late Registration ($100 Late Registration Fee)

2nd POT Fee Payment Deadline for Late Registration (4:30 p.m.) to avoid the assessment of a $100 Late Payment Fee.

**July 9

2nd POT Fee Payment Deadline (4:30 p.m.) to avoid DELETION of courses for students who are ONLY registered for any 2nd POT from July 7-July 8, 2015.  

Courses will be DELETED if not paid in full.
 
TigerXpress will be unavailable after 4:30 p.m.

** Please Note:

  • Students who are registered for any other POT and add 2nd POT course(s) AFTER their initial fee payment WILL NOT be deleted for non-payment; however, they WILL OWE for the 2nd POT course(s) added.
  • Students who decide not to attend 2nd POT or decide to drop a 2nd POT course, must do so by July 6, 2015 (100% for 2nd POT) to avoid owing for 2nd POT courses. 
  • After July 6, fees for dropping courses will be adjusted based on the refund policy in effect on the date the course(s) were dropped.

The University reserves the right to make changes to the schedule as necessary to be consistent with Tennessee Board of Regents policies and procedures.
