Insurance Effective Date
The appointment date for new, academic year 2008-09 nine-month faculty is August 18, 2008. Pay will be spread over 12 months, September – August, with the first check being issued September 30. The State of TN, Benefits Administration, establishes the insurance eligibility and enrollment rules. Insurance is effective the first of the month following one full calendar month of employment. Based on a hire date of August 18, insurance coverage begins October 1 for nine-month faculty. See the Provost’s Web site for faculty contract dates and information.
