    • Sirens and public address system on main and Park Avenue campuses
    • Text messages to all who are signed up for Tiger Text
    • Email to all University of Memphis email account holders

    • The University of Memphis website
    • Local mass media, especially television and University radio station WUMR(FM 91.7)
    • Academic and administrative organizations may also have "phone trees" that they will active
    • Alertus computer desktop alert
    • Informer speaker system stategically located in campus buildings
    • Satellite phones assigned to essential personnel
    • HAM redios should other modes of communication become compromised
  • Individuals's Responsibilities:
    • Be alert to emergency messages issued by the University and respond accordingly
    • Monitor news media (especially regarding winter weather)
    • Call the Special Information Line: (901)678-0888
    • Access University of Memphis website
    • Participate in your departmental "phone tree"
    • Check with your supervisor if unsure of what to do regarding reporting to work
    • Adhere to the rule of "Safety First" and exercise caution and best judgment in any circumstances
    • Follow up regarding work with supervisors after the emergency
    • Participant in fire evacuation drills
    • Review the University of Memphis Crisis Management Plan
