Traffic and Parking Rules and Regulations

Article III - Definitions

1. STUDENT – Any person registered in a credit or non-credit course offered on campus by The University of Memphis, including Graduate Students.
2. FACULTY – Any regular employee who holds academic rank and who is engaged in instruction, departmental research or public service.
3. ADMINISTRATIVE/PROFESSIONAL – All regular employees other than faculty who primarily have executive, administrative or professional responsibilities.
4. CLASSIFIED STAFF – Any regular employee not exempt from the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act.
5. TEMPORARY AND ADJUNCT FACULTY – Any person employed temporarily by The University of Memphis who holds academic rank and who is engaged in instruction, departmental research or public service other than graduate assistants.
6. INVITED VISITOR – Any person invited by a University department for official business with The University of Memphis.
7. VISITOR – Any person not invited by a University department for official business with The University of Memphis.
