Computer Training

Develop basic computer skills...

The training department at Physical Plant offers courses in the areas of Basic Computer Operations, Email, and Internet to give employees an introduction to computers. No prior knowledge of computers is necessary to take part in these courses.

Basic Computer Operations provides an overview of the use of computers in a business organization. Participants will complete basic word processing, printing, and graphic assignments. Email training familiarizes the employee with the University's email system. Internet training provides an introduction the World Wide Web and an explanation of how these tools can improve business communications and information gathering.

Other computer resources on campus...

For employees who wish to learn more about computers and the resources available on campus, the Information Systems department offers training in a variety of courses. The University also offers free computer-based software training (CBT) in topics that range from Microsoft Office to application development and programming concepts.
