Building Services Training

Monthly custodial training courses are conducted for staff members in Building Services. The schedule for custodial training is located on the training room calendar.

Buiding Services Courses
CPR CPR certification provides the knowledge and skills necessary to respond in an emergency. In order to meet OSHA regulations all crafts and trades, custodial services, and campus landscape employees are trained in CPR.
First Aid Provides appropriate staff with knowledge and skill necessary to call for help, to help keep someone alive, to reduce pain, and to minimize the consequences of sudden illness until professional medical assistance arrives.
Bloodborne Pathogens Designed to instruct staff in the use of engineering controls and personal protective equipment related to bloodborne pathogens as required by OSHA standards.
Hazardous Materials Training provides information to comply with "Right to Know" in accordance with OSHA regulations.
Restroom Cleaning Provides instruction in routine and general cleaning tasks needed for proper restroom cleaning. The training also provides the proper use of chemicals to kill germs and how to protect the staff member from harmful chemicals and germs.
Floor Care Focuses on proper floor care equipment operation, appearance standards, floor surfaces, floor coating, maintenance systems, and specific facility needs.
