Canty Robbins is a 1990 graduate of Christian Brothers University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration (Management), and she also has a Master of Science Degree (1993, Operations Management) from the University of Arkansas. She began working for The University of Memphis in March 2003 and has over 20 years experience in higher education purchasing from positions held at Southwest Tennessee Community College and State Technical Institute at Memphis. She is an active member of the National Association of Educational Buyers and the Tennessee Board of Regents Council of Buyers.
