The name is used as the notification e-mail "FROM" address name, in the body of the notification e-mail, and on the page the student opens from his/her portal to accept/decline the eContract appointment. This code can also be used in the lookup eContracts to find all eContracts associated the code.
For example, if you work in Chemistry and are hiring a GA to work under a grant, you may want to enter the main, high-level Chemistry organization code 204000 in this field so the e-mail correspondence sent to the student is from "Chemistry." The following are examples of where the 204000 organization name would be used:
This field is not associated with the student's assignment that requires a hiring department position number, organization code and index code. As noted above, this field is used to personalize the process and offer you another means of organization for sorting records in the eContract lookup and the report utility.

You should always investigate and process any eContracts in 'Incomplete' status.
You will still receive system-generated error notices when your eContract no longer matches an existing EPAF in Banner.
